Detail

Rush Lake is a high altitude lake located near Rush Pari Peak(5,098 m). At over 4,694 meters, Rush is one of the highest alpine lakes in the world. It is located about 15 km north of Miar Peak and Spantik (Golden Peak), which are in the Nagar valley. Rush Lake and Rush Peak can be reached via Nagar and Hopar and via the Hopar Glacier (Bualtar Glacier) and Miar Glacier, which rises from Miar and Phuparash peaks. The trek to Rush Lake provides spectacular views of  Spantik, Malubiting, Miar Peak, Phuparash Peak and Ultar Sar.

During the trek you will experience the gigantic views of peaks of Nagar and Hunza Valley. While trekking towards Rush lake you will cross glaciers, high meadows and terraced fields of beautiful Nagar valley. This is one amazingly refreshing journey as it offers a chance to embrace the wilderness of mother nature.

The Rush Lake trek is the most ideal trek for the trekkers and it is absolutely a reward with all its beauty and sparkles. This trek will not only give you the pleasurable experience to enjoy nature but you will also feel energetic, interested, and excited to see the surrounding areas. Another reward of this trip is you can get attractive views of the stunning 5098 meters long Rush peak.

Rush Lake and Rush peak lie about halfway along this ridge where the peak changes from a broad feature to an unconquerable sequence of crumbling rock pinnacles. The visible peaks of Hunza give spectacular scenery with all these giant peaks. There is a wall of four peaks across the Hispar valley which are from 7025 to 7885 m high peaks. This trek will give a guaranteed pleasure and adventure for the trekkers in the Hunza Valley as Eric Shipton an international traveler called Hunza Valley the absolute presentation of mountain splendor. Our tour in this area will also include a walk to see the natural beauty of the surrounding valleys in Hunza.

We recommend the Rush lake trek in the Nagar Valley to the ones who want to have a first-time taste of Himalayan trekking, this trek will offer you to have the pleasure of seeing glaciers, lovely irrigated adjoining fields, and high meadows and also have a spectacular view of the mighty Karakoram Mountains from Rush Lake.

Day 7 Brikchour–Rush Lake:

This is a steep relentless tough climb The trail rises in a series of zigzags directly behind camp gaining 700m up a dry and dusty path with few places to stop and rest. The trail leads directly to the crest of the ridge that separates the valley of the Barpu Glacier from the Hispar to the North. The trail turns Southwards and follows the broad crest of this ridge over a less steep group for a further 350m to reach the campsite at Chiden Haral. It takes about 6 hours to get to the campsite. The views of the peaks above the Hispar Glacier are outstanding. Overnight Camping at Rush Lake.

Day 8 Rush Lake –Rush Peak Ascent (5095 m):

Today after an early breakfast peak ascent start is required to get a good chance of clear skies and the best views of the more distant peaks.
